Vlad & Lena

The directors of the studio are Vlad and Lena Shalnev, former international professional competitors. Vlad and Lena wish to share their incredible passion for dance… a passion that has taken them on a journey from their childhood days in the Ukraine where, as amateurs, they were members of a very famous formation team that were the champions of Ukraine, USSR and East Europe. In 1993 their journey continued when they turned professional and became champions of their country and travelled all around the world participating in world-class dance events.

Their final destination brought them to London where they studied the Art of Dance from some of the best specialists in the world whilst continuing to compete in prestigious competitions.

In 2007 they gracefully retired from competition but their passion for dance still burns. In December 2007 Dance Art LLP was created by Vlad and Lena to enable them to pass on their valuable experience, skills and knowledge to all people who have an impulse to dance.
